SP #1-830 led by SD45 #8863 with 6921, 6646 and 4107 meet Xtra 9268 West waiting at West Santa Barbara and led by UP 3138, UP 3303, SP 9268, SP 8416 and SP 8852. The East train has about 90 cars and the West train has over 100 cars. First 830 got stopped by the Hope Ranch hot box detector near MP #367 and was delayed a bit as they had to check for the hotbox. Everything appeared OK, so they continued on Eastbound thru SB.
