Nostalgia & History > A Western Pacific caboose visits KansasDate: 03/29/08 12:32 A Western Pacific caboose visits Kansas Author: JoCoLB Trying to photograph some train activity from the platform of the Great Overland Station Museum (former Union Pacific) at Topeka, KS, in September of 1998, I was surprised to see a Western Pacific caboose at the end of an eastbound U.P. train that was headed to Kansas City. The caboose number was 443.
Looking back more than 19 years, I also see there was a shiny BN auto rack car just ahead of the caboose. Such a railroad scene would be hard to duplicate in 2008. Date: 03/29/08 15:29 Re: A Western Pacific caboose visits Kansas Author: truxtrax thtinc41ed Wrote:
