Nostalgia & History > Q: ride quality of GE Dash 8 four-axle units when new?Date: 04/30/08 08:39 Q: ride quality of GE Dash 8 four-axle units when new? Author: eljay JB's neat shot of a new espee 8000 got me to wondering how well these units (and the santa fe 500s) rode when they were new.
historically, from what i understand, GE 4-axle units have ridden poorly, in general, and the dash 8s are terrible, now, in their declining years. were the dash 8 four-axles "decent" (or better?) in terms of ride quality in the beginning? thank you much! eljay Date: 04/30/08 17:02 Re: Q: ride quality of GE Dash 8 four-axle units when Author: Goatboat I was told the LMX GE units had the ride quality of a bull in the National Finals Rodeo.
