UP NW2 purchase price?

Anyone know what the price per locomotive was when UP purchased its first NW2s in 1940? These were D.S. 1001-1009.

Don't know about an NW-2 but Portland Traction paid $82,547.45 for SW-1 #100 in 1952. By coincidence, GE's bid for a 70-tonner was $88,250.00. EMD got the order followen by another in 1953 for another SW-1 #200.

The 100 still works regularly on the East Portland division of the Oregon Pacific; the 200 works a grain elevator in Superior, Wisconsin

Here are a couple of shots of the ex Portland Traction EMD SW1 taken at Harvest States grain elevator at Superior Wisconsin, deep in the canyons of the massive grain elevators at the port of Duluth/Superior.
