1. 469 ... the Illinois Central heritage is pretty obvious .. 26 June 1999
2 & 3 #1215 was a pretty slick looking NW2 ... got to love that snowplow! May 1987

Did not the Keokuk RR at one time have some varnish-an open platform car that somehow involved a man of the cloth. The car eventually wound up on the GC Rlwy out in AZ but it`s fate thereafter remains unknown to this writer.

It was the "Chief Keokuk" ... I'll dig up slides on it this evening ... I heard it went to the Grand Canyon, but like you, lost track of it thereafter ...

That's probably KJRY HE15 252, ex-CNW 4252 getting some work done and a coat of orange applied. KJRY acquired both of those troublesome, Cummins-powered former GP7's from CNW, and the other one, KJRY 253, was still intact and in "patched" CNW paint in August 1992:
