thanks for posting it, chico http://www.heartlandrails.com Date: 06/02/11 08:53 Re: 5 PA's lead the City of SF near Roseville Author: ATSF3751 Based on the physical condition of these units, I'm thinking this is 1966 or 1967? SP was "letting them rust and fade" in the final years when replacements (SDP45) were ordered.

SP was "letting > them rust and fade" in the final years when replacements (SDP45) were ordered. Could be as late as early 1966. SP 6021 was retired 4/20/66 (source: Cortani, Lloyd and Strapac, 1975). Date: 06/02/11 11:13 Re: 5 PA's lead the City of SF near Roseville Author: CTCFailure Wow! Great photo, thanks for sharing it here.

The early 60's were a blur to me as it was a time where my Special Purpose ran my brain. I know one thing Uncle Sam grabbed my A** in early 1965 till 1967 so it wasn't any of those years as I was in South America. I know the vehicle to get there was a 1956 Oldsmobile a friend of mine had.

Smokeless Alcos were a rare sight.
