Nostalgia & History > Former MKT depot at Burlington, KS

Here is a photo of the former Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad depot at Burlington, KS, as it looked on Aug. 31, 1957. Burlington was on the MKT's Junction City-Parsons, KS, route. I believe some of the former roadbed alignment northwest of Burlington was inundated by the John Redmond Reservoir when it was built for flood control in the Neosho River valley a few years after closure of the former Katy line.
