We had a bit of a problem with water on the UP (former Western Pacific) Highline in Crescent Mills, CA. I visited my office (in the corner of the near building) in a boat.

According to Durrell's book Geologic History of the Feather River Country, that whole valley was a lake not too long ago.

Tom, that is one weird looking photo! In fact, I'd say its so weird as to be "far out." I remember that wet winter - we had severe flooding all over the state.
