Had a nice drive up the coast today. Stopped off to shoot the King City depot that was move to the city park. Depot was closed, but had fun shooting some photos. Among the artifacts with the depot : a wig-wag, SP Caboose, SP round cement phone booth.
These folks did a nice job.

Thanks for the photos, reminded me of something I haven't seen in a while. Does anyone know which switches the levers on the far side of the desk were for?

Levers for the train order signal... that's the mast next to the building.

Wow... they did an absolutely splendid job! It's really nice to see artifacts done in some semblance of context. Nice job, nice photos!

Those levers controlled the Train Order signal in front of the depot!

Wow, thanks for sharing. I learned something, too.

All these years I thought they had torn the old depot down. I didn't know they moved it.

Here's a picture I took of the old depot somewhere around 1980, maybe 1978.

TO levers don't look connected. No links and rods to the pole. It was switched to a light type in later years along with Salinas and Paso Robles, Guadalupe and Surf.

They should have kept the big open car port on the west or north end. Room for a car or truck or two.
