I think this line was Soo Line by this date, but Milwuakee Road paint could still be seen. Also MKT and SP power roamed around. This train was stopped and i shot it at a hand held 1/30 second. Tom Paris

Is the depot still there or is all gone. Watch the Hiawatha come through there. Many from Rockford boarded there for Omaha etc. during and after the War.

The depot is gone as is the quaint little bar across the tracks. Forget the name, but I believe it went up in flames about ten years ago.

KC - boarded #103 there on several occasions

The bar was called the "Track Inn" and did indeed burn many years ago.... shortly after the owner retired to Arizona, IIRC.

Great catch on the Milwaukee Road and M-K-T power mixed, I'm not sure how much that happened especially in Illinois!
