Sure miss my home road, looking good nice and clean. They used solid sets of them quite a bit on the Tehachapis less often on Cajon for whatever reason?

What's the story with the guy on the ground in the second shot? Looks like he's doing the hokey-pokey or the Watusi.

That's the big difference these days: all 6-axle power, even on TOFC trains (rare though they are...).

RR's weren't afraid to use B-B axle freight units back then, even on tough passes like Cajon or Tehachapi. Had to have been better for the track on the curves, too...
