Nostalgia & History > Happy Thanksgiving 2012Date: 11/22/12 10:13 Happy Thanksgiving 2012 Author: refarkas Here is a memory that I am thankful to have of EL railroading when I first started railfanning. During the late 1960's and early 1970's, the EL served a first-generation feast of classic locomotives and fallen-flag freight cars. Here are EL 7094, 7263, 7072, 7091 heading east through Akron, Ohio on a beautiful mid-year day. While the date is unknown, this may certainly bring back first-generation memories to those of us who were blessed to live them.

Great shot. The EL tried and tried. Here's a happy T'day to all the EL folks that are still with us. J. Love those cars up in the Quaker Oats yard too.
