Pioneer Park, Bakersfield, CA
Author: wjpyper

Found these pix taken in February, 1980 in a box of old pix that I inherited from my parents.
Boy on the boxcar is my nephew.

So has all the equipment been removed from this park? What happened to the narrow gauge boxcar?

Looking at the park on Google Earth I can see that the locomotive is still there. Couldn't see any of the other stuff. It is listed as the Kern County Museum on Chester Avenue.

I don't think anything has been removed. As far as I know, the park is still an operating venue.
