Hey Guys,

i heard from a Friend that there was a photo taken from the Mt vernon overpass when the FP45s were new of all of them at the San Berdoo shops. is this true? if so where can I find it?

The image to which are referring is the Cover Image of the "Warbonnet", Volume 18, No. 1, 1st Quarter, 2012. This is the magazine published by the Santa Fe Railway Historical & Modeling Society. They have a website, and contact info there.

The company photo showing a cluster of new FP45's at San Bernardino was originally horizontal format, and was cropped vertically for the cover of the First Quarter 2012 issue of "The Warbonnet" (and unfortunately cut out the 108 in the process):

The full frame (or at least as much of it as I've seen in print) was splayed across pages 36 and 37 of Kalmbach's "Locomotive 2008" as the opening spread of an article on the units by Mike Martin. Only 7 of the 9 FP45's Santa Fe bought appear in the shot: 101, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, and 108 (makes me wonder if 100 and 102 weren't busy pulling the inaugural westbound Super C when the photo was made).
