Nostalgia & History > Where's my train?Date: 12/05/12 19:00 Where's my train? Author: santafe199 That smart-a$$ conductor told me "just get on that eighty-seven hundred" for the trip home...
1. AT&SF 8745 & 8782 are in eastbound paused mode at Emporia, KS on November 27, 1977. Soon, human crews will find their way and take these trains to Argentine. (The 5541 is trailing in consist, passing by the depot westbound) Thanks for looking around! Lance Garrels santafe199 Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 05/04/22 21:00 by santafe199. Date: 12/06/12 09:19 Re: Where's my train? Author: santafe199 It was very common to see business cars parked in front of the passenger station, even into the 80's. These cars were routed to & from Topeka & wherever. I would guess the stream you are seeing is leakage from an underground steam line for those cars
