Of course it's always potentially dangerous to take photos on or near trackage ("expect movement in any direction, at any time"). I don't believe the commenter was stating that her being there was "ok." There is no question that being on railroad property always carries the possibility of injury or worse. That said, with proper diligence I believe it can be accomplished safely.

And, I agree, a neat photo.

And I doubt we could have her arrested anyway. The statute of limitations has probably run out. I don't have a problem with her standing there, it was in the past. Be nice if we could get that close now, using common sence and not be treated like terrorists.

During the diesel era on the O&W, I'm not sure anything moved fast enough to present a hazard...
