Nostalgia & History > Peoria & Eastern Caboose

In one of my NYC photos is a Peoria & Eastern caboose which has drawn comments.  I scanned a slide of it but the scan is very fragile.  By that I mean, what ever I try to do to it makes it worse.  I managed to get the contrast somewhat in control and the white white but the rest of the colors are debatable.   Anyhow, here it is.  Taken March 31, 1964 at 75th Street, Chicago.

I have similarB&W  photo of such a car (can't remember the number) . The caboose like yours does not ressemble anything the NYC had and has the same slogan. These cars would have been more of a brown than red.
