I believe the buildings in the background in the 2nd photo are part on Northeastern univerity.  Note that the car that is behind
​ the primary subject is one of the double ended ex Dallas cars

You are correct that is Northeastern University.....Also they used to have double ended cars of the Ashmont line also....I remember being on one in the very early 60's.
