More info on SP Freight Siding--Ward Street-Berkeley
Author: KeyRouteKen

Hi Everybody--  In reference to the thread created a few days ago by STASH  (http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?11,4242639,4242891#msg-4242891)   I found the SP Special Instructions for the Ward Street SP freight spur crossing over the Key System...

It was in the Southern Pacific Western Division Timetable # 241,  dated June 2, 1946 and was part of RULE  98  of the S.I.'s for the Martinez Subdivision........

Berkeley ...   Key System crossing yard track at Ward Street and Shattuck Avenue  .....

Railroad crossings at grade not interlocked :
Trains and engines must approach with caution and may move over the crossing withoout stopping  if crossing clear and no movement approaching on intersecting line.

Cheers.
KRK
