Nostalgia & History > 1976 and the American Freedom TrainDate: 04/16/17 12:22 1976 and the American Freedom Train Author: bandob Continuing my photo history in chronological order, the only time I saw the American Freedom Train was July 4, 1976, at the New Cumberland Army Depot near Harrisburg, PA. So many people and little photo opportunity. These are the best I could do.

But in about Feb NYC threw a wrench into the AFT's calendar when they backed out of a 3wk display commitment
There was a frantic scramble to fill the hole, and as I understand it, someone in Harrisburg was paying attention and quickly grabbed the 4th. SR |
