"Dash 9" 637 leads four other assorted red and silver GE's out of Tunnel 2 near Alray in Cajon Pass. Photo taken on March 20, 1994 and train is eastbound...thanks for looking.

If this were anymore 3-D, my apartment would need a new back wall!

This is so fantastic. I wish that I made it a priority to shoot trains blasting out of that tunnel. RIP.

Would that be the "back side" (I suppose from the LA perspective) of Mt. Baldy? Beautiful picture.

Yes, although Mt San Antonio is surely a more befitting name for a peak over 10000 feet high!?

Wow, those were the days!

Another great memory, Bob.

I grew up in Pasadena and did not know it was "Mount San Antonio" until looking up the possible mountains in the background today. "Mt. Baldy" was the only name I recall ever hearing it called for 20+ years. Having been in Texas now for over 30, I was hoping google maps was wrong and that San Antonio is really only associated with Texas (or perhaps the same thing happened to Mount Baldy as is happening with Lily Rock/Tahquitz Rock).
