Nostalgia & History > Yuba City CA 6/84Date: 04/19/17 18:59 Yuba City CA 6/84 Author: callum_out With nearly twenty years since the wires were dropped but with the Sutter, Pearson, and Chico branches
still in use the one engine facility at Yuba City remained in service. This would all change in the near future as the yard office would close the job transferred to Portola. the Sutter branch, up the SN to the SP at Live Oak, up the SP to Durham, up to city limits of Chico, wait until 7Pm and head off to the airport with your five cars to go switch the Sierra-Pacific molding mill. Can't understand why that train didn't just rake in the revenue! Out |
