What a difference:ATSF Pasadena Sub Before the Gold Line
Author: spider1319

Almost rural and bucolic could describe the Santa Fe Second District between Pasadena and Highland Park. The first view is a late running Number 3 at Highland Park. The second image is at South Pasadena and the third picture is at Raymond. All westbound from 1991.Compare these shots with todays Gold Line Light Rail and the almost sterile look.Bill Webb

Really like #2. I bumbed I didn't get to ride Amtrak along that line.

Great shots of what used to be called the Santa Fe Second District. Glad you captured some of the "action" when ATSF was operating many westbounds via the Pasadena Sub! Photo 3 down near the old Pasadena Ice House where reefers were loaded with perishable. Thanks for posting!
