Two Locomotives - One More Attractive
Author: refarkas

It is June 8, 1974 in Waukegan, Illinois, and C&NW 5025B and 506 sit under a cloudy sky. The Crandall cab 506 looks more modern while 5025B looks more graceful.

I concur Bob. Nothing more graceful in the diesel age as the E's and F's.

E8A #5025-B is one of the most attractive and graceful models built.
"Crandall Cab" #506 is about as ugly as they get.

Additional Comment
Coincidentally, on Apr 20, 1980, I photographed #5025-B's sister unit #5025-A in storage with stacks capped.

That is a fact! There's just something about E units. Great shot!!

I know everybody drools over PAs, but give me a E unit every day and twice on Sunday!
