Nostalgia & History > McCloud in Better DaysDate: 04/22/17 12:42 McCloud in Better Days Author: callum_out In June of 1984 and in the earlier paint scheme we find McCloud River 38 and 37 shuffling
around Shasta City, CA after dropping off their train. Pretty much all crap now (thanks and credit to Photobob). Out Date: 04/22/17 13:18 Re: McCloud in Better Days Author: TCnR In theory, there's still two locomotives on the property and the tracks are still in place all the way to McCloud. Doesn't sound good though, 'in theory' the locomotives would have been out of there last year.

What this post should have stated was Mt. Shasta. Then of course there is the fairly new Shasta Lake City which is also on the Shasta line and then the true Shasta City which is located some 3 miles west of Redding and has never had a rail line. Sorting mail for these cities by name is always fun thus ZIP Codes to the rescue. |
