Nostalgia & History > 1981: Back to CheyenneDate: 05/19/17 12:20 1981: Back to Cheyenne Author: bandob We had another summer vacation to Cheyenne fro Frontier Days in July 1981. Two years after our first visit in 1979, Amtrak now was stopping at "Boring Borie." Actually, they re-located to Borie in October 1979.
UP power was still often on the point, but no longer E units. B&OBill Date: 05/19/17 12:23 Re: 1981: Back to Cheyenne Author: bandob UP Business cars would still appear in Cheyenne for the Frontier Days week.
UP 9001 was in the Cheyenne Depot after bringing in a special train for the week's events. Watching a departure at Borie. B&OB Date: 05/19/17 12:24 Re: 1981: Back to Cheyenne Author: bandob Date: 05/19/17 18:16 Re: 1981: Back to Cheyenne Author: dan nice
