Nostalgia & History > A Couple Of Shots From 1988Date: 05/26/17 16:54 A Couple Of Shots From 1988 Author: TTM Here are a couple of shots I took in July 1988 on vacation. Don't know if any of this stuff is around anymore.
1. LMX 8547 leads a northbound BN train at Dock Street curve in Tacoma WA with a fuel tender and a B-30-7AB. 2. CP Rail 5523 is heading eastbound with 2 Conrail GP-35's out of Calgary AB. If I remember I believe this was out close to Ogden Shops. Thanks for looking, hope you enjoyed. Tom Date: 05/26/17 17:42 Re: A Couple Of Shots From 1988 Author: refarkas Thanks for posting these.
The CP/CR/CR photo is a surprise. Still, CR units seem to have ended up in many interesting places. Bob Date: 05/26/17 19:16 Re: A Couple Of Shots From 1988 Author: up833 Good to see you posting some photos again Tom.

All the rest are gone. Ben Date: 05/26/17 20:17 Re: A Couple Of Shots From 1988 Author: DynamicBrake Tom,
Nice pair, thanks for the share. That last shot is really nice with the low level light. Kent in CArmel Valley Date: 05/27/17 03:54 Re: A Couple Of Shots From 1988 Author: kgmontreal refarkas Wrote:

> in Tacoma WA with a fuel tender and a B-30-7AB. That's one of the brand new 'sharks'. (Gray with a white 'shark fin' in the middle of the side.) They didn't run like that very long before they got the red on the nose under the white band, giving them a 'bloody mouth' appearance. For some unknown reason the B30-7As were called 'Twinkies' around here. I'll blame Dave for that. :-) steeplecab Helena |
