Nostalgia & History > UP King Hill Idaho, w/SP SD45 Speed Letter MK Rebuild 3-17-1995Date: 09/18/17 05:14 UP King Hill Idaho, w/SP SD45 Speed Letter MK Rebuild 3-17-1995 Author: RailRat Big News back in 1995 was ANY clean looking SP Unit, Plus the "New" Speed Lettering was also a plus. This is an Eastbound UP Working up the grade to King Hill Summit, with a SP SD45 #8597 Speed Lettered unit, fresh out of rebuild at MK Boise, getting a good break-in at full throttle, sandwiched in between two UP units. Good thing the available light stays a long time after sunset up here! This was shot awhile after, but same day as last video I posted here on TO.

Great video......thanks for sharing, and FWIW: Did anyone else see that reddish ghostly apparition (obviously caused by the headlight on the camera lens) crossing in front of the train as it crests the hill? :)
