Over Thanksgiving weekend 1986, my family and I visited the Burlington Northern's North Kansas City, Mo., yards, where BN's office car fleet was based.

Former Northern Pacific office car "Yellowstone River" was there, attired in what was always my favorite of the several liveries that BN official cars wore over the years.

Agreed as far as the best livery for BN office cars.

Now adorned in stainless steel and fully remodeled, this is one of four cars that welcome employees, customers and visitors to the BNSF headquarters in Fort Worth. rww
