Image one: B&O's coaling tower in Akron, Ohio looks semi-operational in September 1980. That is Cuyahoga Valley Line 4070 in the background. Image two: On October 14, 2017 the coaling tower looks like a forgotten relic in an abandoned location. Bob Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 10/15/17 14:09 by refarkas. I did not know the trackage by it had been abandoned. Gary Date: 10/15/17 16:31 Re: Concrete Warrior - Akron, Ohio Author: krm152 Most interesting photos.

Date: 10/16/17 04:21 Re: Concrete Warrior - Akron, Ohio Author: refarkas I believe the trackage was ripped out in the last couple years but can't say for certain.
Bob Date: 10/16/17 12:48 Re: Concrete Warrior - Akron, Ohio Author: Gateway97 Nice comparison. That first photo looks like it could have been taken in 1950, if B&O was used by GTW for trackage rights! One only needs a little imagination.
