I'm curious where this is. I was thinking Silvis, but given valmont's home, might be in Denver. Nick Tharalson, Marion, IA Date: 10/16/17 09:06 Re: No so maroon Monday ... Author: TexasRocket This is supposed to be an ex-Wabash unit acquired by NW then sold to Precision National.

------------------------------------------------------- > Greetings Valmont! Was this at Sandown yard? Hello, RI's small yard on the east side of Denver, in the Sandown area, was known as Duban. They had a few jobs based there, working industry trackage, the TOFC and auto ramps, making transfer runs to/from the UP at Pullman, etc. RI didn't have their own "major" yard in Denver but used Rio Grande's North Yard with road power being serviced at the engine facility there. So a RI engine sitting by itself somewhere in Denver was likely at Duban - perhaps valmont will confirm that for us. Take care, Mark Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 10/17/17 06:37 by mamfahr.
