Fifty Three years ago October 16, 1964
Norfolk and Western - Nickel Plate Road - Wabash -
Akron Canton and Youngstown and Pittsburgh and West Virginia
became one family.

Remember well the NKP growing up in Fremont, Ohio. late 1950's - early 1960's
and living just a few house from the NKP - Former LE&W - Lake Erie and Western.

Starting working for N&W in June 1971 as tower operator - clerk
Fostoria, Ohio and retiring from Norfolk Southern - Fostoria, Ohio - 2001.
Many travels during those years.

Working in different states Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Its been a good and exciting life and would do it over again.

My greatest access was not so much the railroad but my fellow co-workers.
