On a hot and humid September 19, 1981, two trains race towards Tower 55 in Fort Worth. With a good lead over its BN counterpart, MKT GP40 173 has CONRAIL 8258, 8214 and MKT 609 in charge of a Houston bound grain drag while in the distance a C30-7 tries to close the gap with its coal train. At this time frame the Santa Fe yard was still in tact and being used right next to its passenger station. Nothing looks the same there any more.
