Nostalgia & History > N&W pile driverDate: 12/05/17 09:10 N&W pile driver Author: THAT-L-DO During a visit to my dad's home town of Mogadore, OH back in 1966, we stumbled upon an N&W steam powered pile driver tied down by the depot (ex-W&LE). The next day they had it fired up and were working on a small trestle near town. All photos taken by my father. The first shows my sister and myself posing next to the consist. The next shot was taken at the crossing on N. Cleveland Ave. and the final shot shows the driver being positioned to begin work. There is yet another slide showing the pile driver in the "upright" position which I can't locate at the moment but will post when I find it.
