What Happened to the EMDX Lease Units?

Saw quite a few of these back in the mid to late 2000s. Haven't seen one in quite a while. Where'd they go?

I believe a bunch of them have ended up on the Iowa Interstate repainted into their attractive colors.

doing a quick google search 824 at least as early as 2011 was still in blue EMDX paint.

According to The Diesel Shop, a lot of these were repainted (rebuilt?) into the GMTX leasers.
