Neptune Bulk Terminal #1007 looks like a 'do not interchange" car, for sure.

In the second picture, does anyone know what those long rectangular boxes were for above the ladders on each end of the SP boxcar?

They were vents, these cars started life as those green EFCX Evergreen cars, they were painted into Espee paint/lettering etc in 79, There were several other classes of PC&F built cars that follow the same story.

Brownstone, Michigan

Ford plant it was assigned to.




PS. after googling Brownstone, Michigan I think it might be Brownstown, Michigan the book I got Brownstone out of I suspect is a miss print.

OK, I figured it was a plant code but I am not familiar with them nor have a reference. Thanks very much for the information!
