Boxcar fun (SP&S - CB&Q - RBCS)
Author: Korigaoka1811

1 -- These SP&S 50' boxcars were not uncommon in Southern California. Colton, 1981.

2 -- I liked CB&Q's pre-BN paint scheme. The end of this car seems to be bulging a bit. A load shifted drastically? San Bernardino, 1978.

3 -- I never saw a clean RBCS insulated boxcar. I would like to have seen how one of these cars looked in fresh paint. San Bernardino, 1978.

Nice looking Burlington beer car, that would be an interesting scheme for the model market.

Agree with the SP&S double door car, they seemed to have lasted a long time. There were also Northern Pacific cars that seemed to last a long time while similar cars had been repainted.
