Date: 06/22/18 20:30 Re: UP 949 at Page, Washington; August, 1995 Author: grahamline That was on the occasion of an excursion from the Tri-Cities in Washington up to Bonners Ferry, Idaho, and back down to Hinkle, Ore., where the passenger cars were reunited with the 3985 and probably Mr. Krieger. Don't remember who sold the tickets and organized the trip.

The train is northbound. The date is 1995. Page is located a few miles further south of this scene, where the tracks make a brief trip inland through some orchards before returning to the riverbank.
