Nostalgia & History > Off into the sunset, Chicago Central StyleDate: 06/23/18 10:21 Off into the sunset, Chicago Central Style Author: GBW309 Here is a shot of a Chicago Central and Pacific local heading off into the sunset at Alden, Iowa (I attached a Google map) taken Labor Day weekend, 1987 CCP rain a local between Waterloo, Iowa and Fort Dodge, Iowa. This train served industry along the way and on this day, primarily set out empty grain hoppers at numerous elevators. On this day, power for the train was Paducah GP10 8035, 9406, a straight out of the factory EMD GP 18 and 9438, an EMD GP 28 ( one of only 31 ever built).
Thanks for looking. Dave Date: 06/23/18 11:28 Re: Off into the sunset, Chicago Central Style Author: ghemr The CCP should had variety in their fleet.
