Conrail U-boat collection along the Hudson River
Author: Krokodil

With Conrail B23-7 1981, U30B 2868, U25B 2507, and an ex PC GP38, this north bound train is crossing the well known and photgraphd Iona trestle in Bear Mountain NY. From this eclectic GE collection, only the new B23-7 will survive for a longer time, some of them even lasting into the new millenium on this line, at least on local service. It's November 1979, and the leaves are cluttering up the intake filters of the U30B. This wooden trestle was replaced later by a more sturdy version.
