Chased this train on 7/21/77 near Sycan, OR with 2 Baldwin switchers leading.

Is this on the Woods Line?  Looks like a water car is along in case the Baldwins start a fire.  Those look like some impressive spark arrestors.

Yes, picture was on the Woods Line, north end of the Sycan Yard by all appearances.

Here's a little bit better view of the stack extenders WTCX applied to their Baldwin switchers (John Henderson photo), plus another one of the spark arrestors also used as seen on S-8 #103.

In the last photo 102 is coupled to the 101 in the dead line. The 101 still has her spark arrestors and same spike kegs covering them to this day. Hard to believe it’s been 30+ years since she’s ran.
