Nostalgia & History > Passing Trains, UP Colfax, California 7/2/06Date: 08/06/18 22:00 Passing Trains, UP Colfax, California 7/2/06 Author: FiveChime Nothing real special here. Just a few trains passing through Colfax, Calif. on the UP Donner Pass Route 12 years ago.
I think the westbound (3rd train) was the loaded grain that now uses the Feather River Canyon Route. Regards, Jim Evans Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 08/06/18 22:53 by FiveChime. Thanks for sharing. Wonder what the tonnage was on that westbound grainer?

Now that UP has to run it's locomotives in the tunnels of Donner, Tehachapi and the Cascade Route it too isn't looking so clean.
