Even after the big order of wide cabs (C40's & SD60M / I's), Conrail wasn't too particular about the leader on just about any train. This one is from Conrail's early era. Conrail EMD GP38-2 8069 and company are headed off the Rockville Bridge and North onto the Buffalo line. October, 1980. Even the number series lined up.
These EMD's were the big finale of standard cabs on Big Blue. Probably my favorite late Conrail purchase. At East Palestine, Ohio, the 2570 speeds East toward Conway yard and a crew change. September, 1998. Date: 08/10/18 02:24 Re: Cabs As They Were Meant To Be Author: gcm Excellent Conrail shots.
