Unidentified yard from the Cal Zephyr -- mid 80's

I believe this was from the eastbound California Zephyr in the mid 80's - maybe Iowa somewhere ?

I believe...
Creston, Iowa.
Because of the position of the water tower and the brick building with the curved roof.
I was there a couple of years ago and the roundhouse foundations were still visible.
A check of googly earth seems to fit.  In my feeble mind, anyway.

East of Denver, that's appears to be a BN truck in the corner.

I concur with east of Denver, as that appears to be a CB&Q style round table bridge.

Burlington, Iowa.  I believe the turntable has been ripped out now.

Burlington did have a similar turntable but the background is incorrect.  I'm not intimately familiar with Creston but it does make sense.

I agree with Any about Burlington.  Creston seems a likely fit.
