Nostalgia & History > What is it, UP 2584?Date: 11/17/18 13:24 What is it, UP 2584? Author: lilwes Came across this photo of UP 2584. Upon a closer I noticed it looked like a normally aspirated GP-40. I took the photo on 5/18/2008 in Topeka, Ks. Anyone out there have any ideas?

UP 2584, built September 1968 as PC #3160. To Conrail as its #3160, then to Rio Grande originally as #3160, then re# to 3148. Then rebuilt to a GP38-2 by MPI 1998. Became HLCX #1085 in 2009. The guys for the 40 have been removed.
