I just figured out that No. 7770 was running in the No. 4 spot on the very first Cotton Belt train to reach Herington on March 25, 1980. Notice all of the snow accumulated on the engine. It had been the original leader but the consist was turned somewher west of Herington because of the buildup of snow on #7770. No. 7773 was the nenew leader when the train arrived in Herington.  (Photo by Larry Byers)
