The pictures show Mexico in a different era 54 years ago.  The cowboy on the horse and the non air conditioned cars on Train 7, the Mexico City to Ciudad Juarez train.  When I rode it in June, 1964, it took 41 hours from Mexico City to Ciudad Juarez.  The next year, it was speeded up to 24 hours.

Better look that timetable over for a 24 hour running time for trains 8.  24 hours from CD Juarez would find it around Aguascalientes, 12 hours away from Mexico City and this was in August of 1975.

I understand the scheduke was speeded up significantly after Rick rode it.   Marty
