Five Chicago Great Western Freights -- Walt Dunlap

1. CGW F3A 103-C, Train 43 southbound at Hayfield, MN on September 29, 1962, 6 units, 120 plus cars.

2. CGW F3A 107-A with southbound extra near Libby's, Rochester, MN Plant on December 6, 1963.  Yes the water town is what you think you see.  The power is an A-B-A lashup with F3As on the ends and a F7B in the middle.  The train is two boxcars and a  caboose.

3 and 4. CGW F3A 109-A with Train 92 at Hayfield, MN on March 9, 1963, 6 units, 128 cars.

5. CGW F3A 110-C southbound at Hayfield, MN on January 3, 1964.

6. CGW RS-2 56 with the Austin Turn, Hayfield, MN on July 16, 1963.

I love the solid F unit lashups. I also enjoy the solid blue look. The red doesn't do much for me...nice post!

You see blue? I think it is a maroon, but may look blu-ish in the light.

That last photo of the RS2 and the reefers is very cool. Can't say too much for the maroon paint scheme, kinda blah. CGW ran the longest, slowest, head end power trains I ever sat at a crossing for. Thanks for posting these!
