The Santa Fe/Amtrak station in San Bernardino was the place to be to watch trains go by for a rather lazy kid like myself.  Just sit and wait and the trains came to me, point the camera and click it . . .

1 --  On this summer day in 1977 I saw a long and busy Southwest Limited, about four hours late, do a respectable business here.

2 --  What can I add? A yellow-bonnet F45 in 1978.  (I did prefer them in pin-stripes, however.)

3 --  Early mornings have always been my favorite time of day for photography and here are a pair of SD45s and an SD45-2 (pretty standard power) after a rain shower in 1979.
