Big Red on the CNJ

CNJ only painted one 6-axle road locomotive in the red "Coast Guard" paint, 3067. Commonly was refered to as "big red" or the "red baron".

Always thought that scheme look great on 3067.  Also looked good on the RS3's and GP7's.  Too bad they didn't paint at least one other SD40 that way.

While 3067 was referred to as the Red Baron the scheme itself was called the Coast Gaurd Scheme. Remember fondly one of the GP7s paired with a 40P that lead a train my dad regularly caught home.
